Comfort Trade vs Player Auction: which is better?
Both methods put the same FC 27 coins in your club. What differs is who does the work, how long it takes and whether you share your login. This guide sets the two delivery methods side by side so you can choose with confidence.
The short answer
Choose Comfort Trade if you want your FC 27 coins with the least effort and you're comfortable sharing your EA login for the length of the order. It's the quicker method for most orders and the natural fit for big ones. Choose Player Auction if your login stays with you, no exceptions. You'll do some listing and large orders take longer, but nobody else ever signs in to your club.
Neither method is risk-free, because buying coins goes against EA's rules however they're delivered. What changes is the kind of risk you take on, and that's worth understanding before you pick.
How Comfort Trade works
With Comfort Trade you lend us access to your club for a short while and we handle all the trading. Here's the sequence.
- Order and pay. Choose your platform and amount in the calculator, then pay on our partner Onlyfarms' secure checkout.
- Send your login details. That's your EA account email and password, along with some backup codes. Backup codes are one-time codes that EA accepts in place of the verification code it would otherwise send you, so the delivery doesn't stall waiting for your inbox.
- We trade in the Web App. A member of our team signs in to the FC Web App, the browser version of Ultimate Team, and moves the FC 27 coins into your club through the transfer market. Your console isn't touched.
- We sign out and hand back. We let you know on chat when the full amount is in. You change your password and create new backup codes, so the details you gave us stop working.
Most Comfort Trade orders are delivered within 10–45 minutes. Large orders are split into batches and arrive over a few hours, so your balance climbs in steps rather than in one jump. The only thing to avoid while it runs is opening Ultimate Team yourself, since a second session can end ours and stall the delivery. When you next sign in, the new balance is waiting for you.
How Player Auction works
Player Auction keeps your login private. Instead of us coming into your club, you put a card up for sale and we buy it for an agreed amount. The coins arrive as each sale goes through.
- Order and pay. The same as before: platform, amount, checkout.
- Get your first player. We send you a player and a price, with clear instructions for the listing.
- List the card. Put that player on the transfer market from your console, the Web App or the companion app, using our figure.
- We buy it. Your listing sells to us and the FC 27 coins drop straight into your club.
- Go again. We send the next player and amount, round after round, until the order is complete.
How long this takes is largely down to you. Each round waits for your listing, so a small order can be finished quickly if you're at the screen, while a big one means more rounds and more of your evening. Keep the chat open and list each card as soon as it comes through. Check the figure before you confirm, too: a card listed too cheaply is fair game for any buyer on the market. As the order goes through, each card shows as sold on your transfer list and the coins sit in your balance.
Comfort Trade vs Player Auction side by side
| What matters | Comfort Trade | Player Auction |
|---|---|---|
| What you share | EA login and backup codes | Nothing beyond a listing |
| Who is in your club | Our trader, through the Web App | Only you |
| Your effort | None once your details are in | One listing per round |
| Usual speed | 10–45 minutes for most orders | Depends on how fast you list |
| Large orders | Batches over a few hours | More rounds, more of your time |
| After delivery | Change password, new backup codes | Nothing to reset |
| Best for | Big orders and busy players | Players who won't share a login |
The table covers the practical side of delivery. The next two sections deal with the questions that usually decide it: how fast, and how safe.
Which method is faster?
For most orders, Comfort Trade. Once your details are in, nothing waits on you: we sign in, trade and sign out, usually within 10–45 minutes for orders up to 2M. Bigger orders take longer by design. We split them into batches over a few hours, because a steady pace of ordinary trades is the safe way to move a large balance into one club.
Player Auction speed is set by you. Every round needs a listing, so the total time depends on how quickly you respond and how many rounds the order needs. If you're sat at the console with the chat open, a modest order moves along nicely. If you're dipping in between matches, expect it to stretch out.
A few things slow down either method: a locked transfer market, a full transfer list or wrong details. On a Comfort Trade, signing in mid-order is an easy hold-up to avoid. Our delivery times page has the full breakdown by order size.
How safe is each method?
Let's be straight about this. Buying coins breaks EA's user agreement, and EA can remove coins from, or ban, an account it flags. No method and no seller can take that risk to zero. What the two methods change is where the risk sits.
Comfort Trade: trust and access
You're handing a seller your login, so you need to trust who you're dealing with. EA will also see a sign-in from a new device when we use the Web App. On the plus side, coins move in ordinary amounts, big orders go in batches, and the moment you change your password and backup codes, our access ends. Do that every time, without exception.
Player Auction: the trades themselves
Your login never leaves you, which takes the access question off the table. The trade-off is that each round is a sale set up to move a fixed amount of coins, rather than a card selling at its usual market value. That's why we name the player and the figure in sensible rounds instead of asking for one giant sale.
Either way
What you do after delivery matters as much as the method. Don't pass coins on to another club, don't stack orders from several sellers, and keep your security settings tidy. Our guide to buying coins safely explains what EA looks for, and every order with us carries a 72-hour guarantee.
Three common mix-ups
- "Player Auction means no risk." Keeping your login is a real plus, but the coins still move through trades that EA can see. It removes one risk, not all of them.
- "Comfort Trade means losing control of my club." We sign in for the length of the order and no longer. Once you change your password and backup codes, the old details stop working.
- "Faster is always better." Speed matters before a big weekend, but a huge balance landing in one go is the kind of thing that draws attention and risks a ban. Batches over a few hours are the sensible trade-off.
Which should you choose?
Match the method to your situation.
- You want a big order. Comfort Trade. Orders of up to 20M FC 27 coins arrive in batches without you lifting a finger, where the auction route would mean round after round of listing.
- You won't share your login. Player Auction, simple as that. It's the reason the method exists.
- You want coins before tonight's Rivals games. Comfort Trade, ordered when you're not about to play, is usually the quickest way there.
- You like to see every transfer. Player Auction lets you watch each sale happen in your own club.
- Others play on your console. If a brother, sister or flatmate might open Ultimate Team mid-order, Player Auction avoids the clash that would pause a Comfort Trade.
- It's your first order. Either works. Start with a smaller amount from 100K by whichever method feels safe to you, see how it goes, then scale up next time.
How to get ready for either method
A little prep keeps both methods quick.
- An open transfer market. Coins can only reach your club through it. If yours is still locked, follow our unlock guide before you order.
- Spare coins and list space. Leave a small balance and clear a few slots on your transfer list so trades have room to happen.
- For Comfort Trade: create a fresh set of backup codes from the security page of your EA account, double-check your password, and plan to stay off Ultimate Team for a while.
- For Player Auction: have the Web App or companion app open, so you can list each card the moment it arrives.
After delivery
On a Comfort Trade, change your EA password and create new backup codes as soon as we confirm the order is done. On a Player Auction there's nothing to reset. Then enjoy your FC 27 coins: sign the players you've had your eye on, finish the SBCs you've been putting off, and get back to playing. If anything looks wrong with your balance, message live chat with your order number. For the full buying process from start to finish, see how it works.
