Is buying FUT coins safe?
A straight answer first, then the detail: what EA's rules say, what gets a club noticed and how we bring coins into yours.
The short answer: no seller can make it completely safe. Buying FC coins from anyone other than EA goes against EA's User Agreement, and EA can act against a club that receives them, up to a ban. Better you hear that from us now than find out later.
In practice the risk depends on how the coins reach your club and what happens to them next. A balance that leaps by millions through strange trades stands out. Coins that arrive in ordinary amounts and are spent at a normal pace look like any other club's trading. That is how we work, and below we explain why.
How we keep the risk down
Ordinary-sized transfers
We move coins in amounts a regular trader might. Larger orders are delivered in batches, not in one sudden jump.
72 hours of cover
Check your balance after the order. If coins from it go missing within that window, we send them again or refund you.
Your login, your call
Prefer to keep your EA password to yourself? Choose Player Auction. With Comfort Trade, change it as soon as the coins land.
What EA's rules say about buying coins
EA's User Agreement and the rules it publishes for Ultimate Team do not allow coins to be bought or sold for real money outside EA's own services. Under those terms, coins and players are licensed to you for use in the game and have no cash value. The rule is not new: it covered FIFA coins in the FIFA years and it covers FC coins now.
EA can respond to a breach by removing coins, with a transfer market ban, or with a ban on the whole account. It does not publish how it picks one over another. So buying coins carries a risk you choose to accept, and our job is to keep it as low as we can.
What tends to get a club noticed
EA does not explain how its checks work, and we won't pretend to know. What is clear is that they watch trading activity, and some patterns are plainly unusual:
- Sudden large jumps. A club that goes from a few thousand coins to several million in one afternoon.
- Odd sales. Low-rated players listed and sold far above their market value, over and over.
- Coins passed straight on. A balance that arrives and is moved to another club soon after.
- A new sign-in, then a frenzy. A login from an unfamiliar device followed by heavy buying and selling.
None of these means a ban is certain, and steering clear of them does not make a club untouchable. They are simply the patterns that look least like a player spending coins on squad upgrades and SBCs.
Two ways to receive coins, two kinds of risk
Neither method is safe in an absolute sense. They handle the risk in different ways.
Comfort Trade. You give us your EA login and backup codes, we sign in through the Web App, add the coins and sign out. We run the trades, so we control their size and pace. The trade-off is that someone else signs in to your account, so change your password afterwards.
Player Auction. You keep your login. We name a player and a price, you list that card and we buy it. Each sale is above the card's usual value, the kind of trade described above, so we keep every round to an ordinary amount. You see each transfer happen.
Whichever you pick, a large order arrives in batches rather than as one transfer. Our guide to the two methods compares them in full, and the delivery page covers timings.
What we do on our side
- We move FC 27 coins in ordinary amounts and split large orders into batches, so your balance grows like an active trader's.
- Most orders arrive within 10–45 minutes. Bigger ones take longer because of the batches, and that is deliberate.
- Every order carries 72 hours of cover against missing coins, as the box below explains.
- Live chat is staffed 24/7, during your order and after it.
- You pay on the secure checkout of our partner Onlyfarms. Card and wallet details go in there, never on futcoin.co.uk.
The full process is set out on how it works.
Does your platform make a difference?
EA's rules are the same everywhere, and its checks run on EA's servers rather than on your console. PS5 and PS4 share one club, as do Series X|S and One, so coins land in the same place whichever generation you play on. PC has its own transfer market and its own prices. Both methods work on all three. Console details are on our PlayStation and Xbox pages.
Is it legal to buy FC coins in the UK?
Buying coins is not a criminal offence in the UK. It is a breach of EA's User Agreement, which is a contract between you and EA, so the consequences are the ones EA can apply under that contract: action on your club or account, up to a ban.
When you buy FC 27 coins from us, you are paying for a service, and UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, protects you as a customer. Our refund policy explains when you can cancel and how refunds are paid.
Staying safe once the coins land
- If we signed in for you, change your EA password and create fresh backup codes straight away.
- Spend your new FC 27 coins at a normal pace. Upgrade your squad and do SBCs over a few days, not in one session.
- Don't relist dozens of cheap players at inflated prices or flip the whole balance in one go.
- Keep the coins in your own club rather than passing them on to a friend's account.
- Check your balance within 72 hours and tell us on live chat if anything is missing.
- Need more later? Order a sensible amount and let it come in batches, rather than stacking big orders on one day.
Covered for 72 hours
If coins from your order disappear from your club within 72 hours, we send them again or refund you. Message live chat with your order number, day or night.
